Marlon: "Look! It's the Dungeons and Dragons Ride! Wow, neat!"
Peter: "Gimmie a break..."
Zula: "I don't like this!"
Csongor: "What's happening?"
All: (yells)
Yuxia: "Where are we?"
Olivia: "Look out!"
Dungeonmaster: Fear not, Ranger...Barbarian...Magician...Theif...Cavalier...and Acrobat."
Zula: "Who WAS that?"
Dodge: "That was Abdallah, the Force of Evil. I am Forthrast, your guide in the Realm of Dungeons...and Dragons."

(view spoiler)[I groaned inwardly the moment Jones slapped the handcuff on Zula's wrist, because it seemed like the book was turning into a 60s comedy caper film. This is as close to fluff as I've seen Stephenson get, but once my expectations synced with the nature of the story, I was rewarded with an enjoyable read. I was a bit disappointed that Abdullah Jones never tied Zula to any railroad tracks, though... (hide spoiler)]
