Thank you again Melina Marchetta! I enjoyed this book so much that it has kept me up the past few nights trying to solve several of the stories' mysteries. But I will gladly lose sleep for Froi of the Exiles. This book was chock full of everything I expected and more. Not just Froi, but so many wonderful characters of depth and secrets from their pasts. There was nothing simple about this story with several simultaneous stories happening and alternating POV's. And you can't beat 593 pages. I was initially skeptical when I saw that this book would focus on Froi, given the "character" he was in Finnikin of the Rock, but I am now proud to be Team Froi.
