This novel is another in the Mickey Haller series, in this current economic climate,Haller finds himself having to defend clients against Banks threatening to foreclose on their homes, often by devious practices.
We are introduced to his latest client Lisa Trammel, who is accused of murdering Mitchell Bandurant, the CEO of Westland National Bank, she had been protesting over their threats to make her homeless, she claims for no lawful reason.
In this book we are reaquainted with some familiar characters Maggie 'Mcfierce' McPherson his first ex-wife and their daughter Hayley, Lorna, his second ex-wife, who is married to Dennis 'Cisco' Wojciewski his investigater. We get to meet Rojas his new Chauffeur, and Jennifer Aronsen a junior associate.
This story has its own twists and turns and a sucker punch ending. This book sees Connelly keep up his high standard
