Another book in the "Fresh Life Series", "Live Reflectively: Lessons from the Watershed Moments of Moses" by Lenya Heitzig and Penny Rose, really changes the way women will approach bible studies.
Designed for the busy woman who finds herself stretched for time and seeking a bible study that doesn't have an overwhelming commitment to time, particularly in today's busy world, the reader will find, "Fresh Life Series", "Live Reflectively: Lessons from the Watershed Moments of Moses", both accommodating to their busy schedules and at the same time, providing a pretty in depth bible study that will surprise them.
Don't let the twenty minutes a day, fool you, this isn't a simple bible study, that you will fly through, but rather, for twenty minutes, the reader will find themselves, digging pretty dip into the bible and faced with thought provoking study questions and side notes, that will leave you, at the end of the twenty minutes, surprised at how much you will glean from each bible study.
In, "Live Reflectively: Lessons from the Watershed Moments of Moses", Lenya Heitzig and Penny Rose, addresses, from the perspective of what Moses had to go through, watershed moments in the believers own life and showing how Moses persisted and overcome, with the help of Father in Heaven, how they can apply the same biblical principles in their own life.
Like the rest of the "Fresh Life Series", "Live Reflectively: Lessons from the Watershed Moments of Moses" uses the basic formula of:
Lift up (Prayer)
Look at (God's Word)
Learn about (new insights)
Live out (application)
Listen to (quotes from other believers)
Whether you use this study via the book itself, on an ipod, ipad, tablet, whatever the method, I discovered, with surprise, that in twenty minutes, a lot of material is actually covered and I come away from the study, probably learning more in a convenient twenty minute time frame, then if I tried a longer time frame, which, with a busy household, is more of a gift, than a given.
The book, "Live Reflectively: Lessons from the Watershed Moments of Moses", has an almost workbook feel to it, with plenty room to write notes in, if you are the type to write in your bible studies, and I find it hard to resist, copying the same side notes that are shared in the book, in my bible as I was studying, because of the "I didn't know that" moments, that would come up each day.
For twenty minutes, five days out of the week, a lot, and I mean a lot is covered and it really had me interested in wanting to invest in the rest of the series, not just for personal use, but in use in a small bible study group.
The notes in the back of the book(s) offers a lot of additional reference material to explore, if you had the time and the patience to do so, but from, what was just presented in the material itself, covered a good spectrum of information and guidance.
Maybe you know a new believer who can benefit from this, trying to set aside quiet time yourself or seeking for a great bible study to share in your bible study group, I highly recommend this and the rest of the "Fresh Life" series.
