Someday I have to sit down and write my essay on the thriller and when I do, I need to include a section on David Baldacci. The man churns them out and they are very readable and filled with a lot of thriller tech 'porn'...you know, descriptions of weapons drilled down to a tee...but there's more. There is always a 'hero' who is loyal, smart, tough and dedicated...probably has family issues and maybe even a father problem and he meets people who could be friends and lovers but they often meet a bad end...plus you have to have ( it is a thriller) a conspiracy threatening great destruction.

All present and all executed in Baldacci style. This is not Camel Club but John Puller has potential to be the next Oliver Stone.

These books are what they are. Great reads for the most part and they won't rot your brain.
