it was amazing
Read from November 10 to 16, 2011

I enjoy Myron Bolitar novels, and "Promise Me" ranks right up there. Two teenage girls are missing, whose parents are friends of Myron. One asks Myron to promise to protect her, and Myron intends to right the wrong. The usual snarkiness is ever present, yet even this is swamped by the emotional, intense, and complex events that follow, that affects many lives in horrible ways: parents of the girls with ethically challenged fathers, two shady teachers, a doctor who helped the girls, and law enforcement who beleive Myron is the culprit. Myron does all he can to solve the case, and tensions rise continously. What stands out with "Promise Me", the emotional roller coaster is charged up, compared to many Bolitar mysteries (prerequisite to "Live Wire", which builds on this emotion). I haven't read any Coben without Myron, but I plan to very soon. He is one of my favorites, ane proves it again and again!
