I pre-order this series before the announcement even dries. Yes, I have the next one on my list to order which should tell you, This book was fabulous.

Abby and Marco our Private Investigator couple, who own a flower shop and bar as well, are caught up in a personal case as they attempt to plan their wedding (and, I better receive an invitation.) Grace Bingham, an employee/friend of Abby's "Bloomers," walks into a murder scene of her friend, the wealthy Mrs. Newport and the police think they have their killer.

To add to the seriousness of this situation, Abby is also trying to take care of her cousin's woes as she nurses back to health a kitten, Jillian thinks she ran over. This causes Simon, Abby's cat to move to "Bloomers" and wreak havoc. Then the real shock hits, Grace is left Mrs. Newport's mansion, and fortune if she will take care of "Charity" a cat!

There are some obstacles of course, like distasteful family members, art thieves, stolen cats, and a murder to solve.

To me, one of the best things in this book was the introduction of a new character, Lindsey. When a series is past a dozen novels, it is such a refreshing touch to not only have a new person, but a mysterious one to boot. I vote to keep Lindsey in the upcoming dozen as there is such potential there.

Author Kate Collins does her beloved husband's memory proud.
