bookshelves: first-reads
Read from November 09 to 16, 2011 — I own a copy, read count: 1

I won a copy of this through a goodreads giveaway. I am really glad that I did because WOW! This novel was a great adventure, and I will have to watch this series, because it has certainly started off with a bang.

I found the charectors believable, and the story was fun. I liked how there was a lot of talk about book collecting, and ancient books, which I found interesting. Krentz's main charectors had lots of chemisty, and I loved the charector Newton, he was a super cute dog, and made me laugh.

I only had a problem with a few paragraphs that were worded in a way that was confusing, but that is to be expected with an uncorrected proof copy, and I am sure that the editors will fix it before the book comes out. However, even if they don't, the two times I had trouble with the wording, I figured out what I was supposed to have understood after a chapter or two, and it did not detract from Krentz's vivid storytelling.
