This follow-up to "The Hunter" didn't quite live up to its predecessor, but it was still an entertaining read. This time Parker is out to get revenge on the Mob and his success in these efforts stretches credibility, but it's a fun ride. Some of Cooke's artwork is fantastic, evoking a variety of imagery from the late 50's - early 60's. He tries a couple of different story-telling techniques in the middle of the book that didn't quite work for me. Regardless, if you like film noir, Tarantino, violent anti-heroes with a chip on their shoulder, and beautifully rendered graphic novels, this is a must read (along with "The Hunter").
