Any family story about New England, especially including the ocean, usually grabs me right away, and that is why I grabbed this book off the shelf at the library. Three sisters meet in Martha's Vineyard to close up the family home after the death of their mother. Their father had sailed solo to Ireland some 30 years before to hunt for proof that their property was an ancient land grant. He never returned and the family never knew whether he was dead or alive. Dar, the sister who still lived on the Vineyard, decides to go to Ireland and see what she can discover about their father and about the land grant. (Why didn't anybody go much sooner than that??) This was a quick easy read, but I found some inconsistencies in the story and when I was through, I found myself asking, "Is that all there is?"
