really liked it
Read from December 02, 2011 to May 14, 2012

I thoroughly enjoyed Cutting For Stone, and certainly did not want it to end. Told from a few different view points, the story follows the lives of a "family" and the experiences they encounter. The shocking and graphic details describe a complicated story and how seemingly minor events shape entire lives.

This was truly a beautiful mix of culture, drama, medicine, relationships, and coming of age. I really would recommend this book to anyone.

Some of the scenes that discuss political situations were confusing to me, however that is certainly not my strong point.

As far as the ending goes, I feel like it could have told me more. The ending itself was appropriate and I was okay with it, but I wanted to know more. I guess any good book leaves you wanting more though...
