The book urges you to think positively and elaborates the power of positive thinking, which is the main advantage of reading this book. A bit of repetition, but it may be meant to emphasize the power of the human mind.
But the book didn't pay attention to the actions!! Yes I agree that thoughts are powerful but it shall be supported with the actions, the work to be done.
The Process: ASK - BELIEVE - RECIEVE lacks ACT!
Thoughts won't be dragged into existence by visualizing only.... more importantly by working to acquire it along with the belief of I can do it!!

As a Moslem, I see the secret in my religion's teachings, specifically speaking; the power of gratitude, the power of the mind, the idea of abundance, Man has nothing to do with "the how", believing in the unseen, etc.
With the difference that the power, the supply and the how is by GOD,the Almighty not the Universe!
