Um, wow. Simply wow. It would seem that I'm barely able to form a coherent sentence to express the awesomeness that is Requiem and the Providence series. I didn't think it was possible, but this sequel built more suspense from the original and went off in a direction I had clearly not anticipated. It's clear that Ms. McGuire is in a class of her own when it comes to the young adult genre and should be commended on her ability to make a fantasy book feel like it could be reality.

I admit I read Beautiful Disaster first and fell in love with Travis immediately. After hearing how incredibly different BD and Providence were I was hesitant to read it. I like my leading males as bad boys. But Jared is not Travis and Travis is not Jared and each stands as a romantic lead in separate categories.

I am so grateful I gave this series a change, but who am I kidding- I just love Jamie's writing style.
