Cliff hanger ending?
Nooooooooooooo!!!!
Take it back! Make it go away!
I enjoyed this book right up until the Allie & Zay went to the cistern. Then it became a massive "What the?" for me. Like a shark had been jumped or something. The whole Veiled turning into some kind of magic vampire virus giving creature made my eyebrows climb.
This has not stopped me from gnashing my teeth at having to wait until April...APRIL!!! for the next installment. And this is why I hate cliff hanger endings. Seriously. A 5-6 month wait is annoying. I'd be happier if I had to wait...like...a month. But no...I have until Spring. That's a long wait to worry about Davy and Shame. To have the question of "but how come Allie's magic went sour? Why?" go unanswered and...so many questions. No patience to wait for answers.
None.
