Yes! THAT Gene Wilder! The title makes it seem quite naughty, but really it's a sweet, quite touching love story. I think it conveys a lot about Wilder's attitudes towards getting old. Also, Wilder's writing style reminds me of a Steve Martin book that I think I may have read...

Anton Chekhov also features prominently as a character.
