This nearly wordless book features animals playing with a child's red sled. Though the story is not told in words, the animals' play is narrated with onomatopoeia. A great book for preschoolers exploring stories and language. An even better choice to use as a text to teach writing skills to students in grades 2 - 4; Lita Judge's use of sound perfectly demonstrates how to use interesting language to tell a story.

Recommended for elementary school library collections. Be sure to share this one with teachers as a text to use during writing instruction!
