Herland is the story of three men who find a land of only women. Terry O. Nicholson, Jeff Margrave, and Vandyck Jenning are well-educated men who have traveled and know a lot about the world. When they encounter this land most of their expectations of the women living there are based on their previous encounters with women. However, they find themselves very surprised when they enter the city is a very prosprerous and self-suficient place and when they meet the strong and untamed women who live there. Eventually both men and women begin to learn about each other and the women try to form a new civilazation with the help of the men.

The novel is interesting in respect to the wonders of the women's society but I din't like the fact that Perkins eliminates any sexual desire in the women which is outrageous.
