The Uncommon Reader is a fun little story about the Queen of England and her journey to becoming a true reader. When she stumbles on a mobile library outside the palace, she first checks out a book to be polite. However, her interest and appreciation of reading grows and develops.

I related to her joy in discovering new authors and her desire to read rather than attend to some duties. However, I was made a little uncomfortable by the reaction of her family and staff to her reading. Do others find my reading as annoying as they did hers? Is my desire to constantly recommend a book as offensive as some found hers? The whole story was light and tongue-in-cheek and very applicable for those who reading borders on obsession. Thanks Lisa!! It fit me perfectly.
