In The Limit Michael Cannell tells the story of Phil Hill's unlikely rise from California auto mechanic to 1961 Grand Prix champion. Unfortunately, Phil Hill was not a particularly exciting personality, so this book is probably only going to be of interest to hardcore Formula 1 fans. On the plus side, there are many interesting ancedotes about some of the era's legends such as Enzo Ferrari, Juan Manuel Fangio, and others.
