What a great story - geared to the young adult segment, but this one will certainly hold adult attention too. The stories hero, Nailer, is a shipbreaker in a post-apocalyptic world. Life has dealt him some unlucky cards until the story begins when he saves himself from drowning, and a conniving crewmate. A shipwreck on the beach starts a whole chain of events that will keep you reading until the end. I look forward to any followups Mr. Bacigalupi chooses to write.
