Thorn in My Heart was a beautifully written book, however, I found myself hating and loving it at the same time. There are three main characters. Leana is a quiet, gentle spirited women, not beautiful in looks but also not entirely unattractive. Her younger sister, Rose, on the other hand is very beautiful; young, impetuous, and very passionate about life. Both girls fight to win the heart of their wealthy and handsome cousin Jamie Mckie. His heart is won by Rose.
Love, deception, betrayal, heartache and hope present themselves throughout this book.
I usually find myself falling in love with one character and rooting for them throughout their story. I have mixed feeling toward these characters. They all have their faults as well as redeeming qualities that will have you reading well into the night to find the end.
