This autobiography of man from the Blasket Islands in Ireland was really beautiful and easy to read. I admit that he wrote it in Irish and then Robin Flowers translated it into English, and therefore it was a filtered reading experience, but that language of the translation was direct, clear, and powerful in its descriptive imagery. It was rather a quick read as well. I think it's fascinating to get the vantage point of those on the Blasket since I had initially compared them to the Aran Islands as well. Fascinating stuff.
