I bought President Bill Clinton's book when it came out in 2004. I started reading it right away, but after a few chapters, it was put back on the shelf. Curiosity made me pick it back up. I didn't expect to read the entire book, but I became fascinated. I learned a lot about him: his accomplishments, his pain, his optimism, his mistakes...

Besides the obvious, (Whitewater, Monica), there were a bunch of things about his life I found interesting, such as his studies in Oxford and the Vietnam War, how he lost his re-election bid for governor because he raised the fees for car tags yet won back the governorship and hold it for 10 years, and how he tried to achieve peace between Israel and Palestine.

Sure this was HIS story and I doubt it was the complete story, (its an autobiography, after all), however I feel that I have a better understanding what Whitewater was. I knew it was being investigated, but I never really knew what it was all about.
