Read from November 06 to 08, 2011

This book grabs you at the start when you meet Angelina who is determined to find information about her birth mother who died during childbirth.

The story then switches to the tale of Monique. She is Angelina’s birth mother, who we know is dead but we learn of her life in war torn France.

The story becomes more intriguing as someone tells Angelina that there is someone who knew her mother and wants to meet her. Then there is the box that is given to Angelina by her father who had not shown it to her all through the years.

More is learned about two women throughout the book. A daughter desperate to know the mother who she had never met and a woman from France with a fascinating past that had not seen her daughter grow up into a woman.

I thoroughly enjoyed this captivating story and look forward to more from the author, Mary O. Travers.
