I'm not quite sure what to think about this book. It was well writen, engaging and thought provoking. Maybe too thought provoking. As soon as I began reading, I immediately became engrossed in the story. However, at around page 100, I was so completely disturbed by the story that I had to stop reading. I couldn't sleep at all that night I was so disturbed. (Probably the mother issues.) I then passed the book on and determined I would just not finish it. Several days later she returned it. I could not stand not knowing how it ended more than I couldn't stand being disturbed. So I finished it in an afternoon. I was actually much less disturbed by the second half, although I'm not sure why. The ending killed me though! Nonetheless, I'm glad I read it and decided to complete it. It has some facinating issues I can't wait to discuss at book club.
