liked it

i love this collection for it's balance. it's really captured the best of the evangelical, charismatic, contemplative, and reformed traditions, blending them together in ways i wish today's Church did (or even just one church).

Jamie Based on your reading list (Lewis and Chesterton), as well as this review, I would recommend the following books as well:
Promises to Keep: Daily Devotions for Men of Integrity
The Business of Heaven: Daily Readings from C. S. Lewis
Life of Christ by Fulton Sheen

and for Bible studies, I've always found the Navarre Bible series VERY helpful (almost 2/3rds of every page has notes about the Scripture verses crammed at the top). Some examples:
The Navarre Bible: Pentateuch
The Navarre Bible: St. Matthew
The Navarre Bible: Revelation

And be sure to check out for some more quotes and works from G. K. Chesterton.
