If you have not read this book, you need to immediately purchase it from Amazon. It is such a good read for parents, students, especially teachers. I started reading it a few weeks ago, and even though I am not a teacher (just a teacher assistant), I instantly related with half of the things Mr. Done comments about. His stories are so funny that before I knew it I was finding my classroom teacher at her desk, doubled over with laughter because she had sneaked a peek at one of the stories between lessons. Phillip Done is a veteran teacher who deeply cares for his students, as proven by the way he portrays them in his stories. He has a very good sense of humor and a great outlook on life. I absolutely loved this book and was so sad to be finished with it. It is the kind of book that you savor; only reading it in increments so that you can make sure you have saved some for later. The stories are short, making it easier to navigate through Done's construction of the book (it is laid out in seasons, just like a school year). Seriously, if you are a teacher/T.A./student teacher/whatever, read this book!!!
