The Next Always (Inn BoonsBoro Trilogy #1)
by Nora Roberts
by Nora Roberts
A lot of flirty romance, some supernatural elements, an awesome hero and heroine, cute kids and a jerk.. just what I've come to expect from a Nora Roberts book and I wasn't disappointed at all. There was so much going on that it kept my attention throughout, and it also was a page turner at some points. I also loved the little supernatural elements thrown in which was great because it didn't overtake the story but it was a nice little addition on the side. Now that I think about it, I am changing my rating from 5 stars to 4.5 stars just because there were some boring parts during the talk of the renovation of the inn and all the details that went into it. Sometimes I felt my eyes blurring but those moments moved by quickly and then I just kept reading to get to my favorite parts, the romance!
So a brief synopsis for those that are on the fence about reading it, it's a story about a family who are in the construction business and have gone into a new venture of rehabbing an old building in their town. This book is about the brother Beckett (the architect) and his growing fascination with a childhood friend Clare. As he tries to get closer to her, he is also trying hard to make sure that the rehab of the inn is perfect and that includes trying to corral the ghost that haunts the place.
I think the next book has potential but of course, the best is saved for last and I think the last book with Ryder is going to be Amazing (the capital A is intentional!!)! Can't wait!
