"Confessions of a Not It Girl" is a contemporay nonfiction book about a girl that tries everything in her senior year of high school just to try and become known. She is followed by homework that needs to be done and can never get the guy she wants. Unlike her best friend that all the guys love and all the girls love to hate. The book is geared towards the young adult ages, basically the intermediate to adult.

I gave this book a rating of 3 stars. Yes, we all know how it is to be the girl that doesnt get noticed in high school but this book was different. I wouldnt say I would never ever use it with in my classroom, but this is more of a free willing book to read on the side from school and homework. The plot was fair, but this seems to be the theme for many young adult books now-a-days. I mean its just over written. This would not be a recommendation for a classroom setting.
