I made it to page 96 before giving up, and then I skimmed the rest of it. I was drawn to this title since I have worked in retail, both as an associate and as a manager, and thought a tale from the trenches would be entertaining. This was more depressing than enjoyable; I figure my unhappiness with the title stems from my unmet (unrealistic?) expectations.

I didn't want to read so much about Kelly's background, or that of her co-workers, really. I thought she provided too many details on things that were less than interesting. Finally, I didn't like the repetition in the book. Okay, I get it, the stuff on the high shelves is a PIA to get down. Please stop talking about it!

Others may enjoy Kelly's adventures at The North Face, but ultimately, it just wasn't for me.
