The second book in the Mary Russell/Sherlock Holmes series. In this book, Mary has finally turned 21 and gotten control of her inheritance and sent her aunt packing. While in London she runs into a former friend from Oxford and becomes involved with The New Temple of God, a feminist leaning--and run--movement that helps out the poor women of London.

Excellent book, altho there isn't a LOT of mystery.
