bookshelves: gave-up-on

After reading any number of page long sentences or paragraphs that stretch over several pages, I would stop and ask myself, "what did he even just say?". Most of the time I came to the conclusion "nothing". It spends a lot of time to give absolutely nothing to the reader. I honestly didn't know how to feel about it because it was like there wasn't anything there to have an opinion on. I was just practicing the motions of reading.

Michael Henderson One of the greatest writers of all time. Maybe you should set your literary sights a little lower.

Dustin If i'm not mistaken, I believe this series is fairly renowned for being difficult to read. The fact that it would be a challenge was part of what attracted me as it does for some of the other things I've read, but there's so many other books to read that there's really no reason to whip yourself if you're not enjoying something.
