This novel was absolutely brilliant! I love the way it alternates between the past, the present and the future, dropping little hints and clues here and there leading up to the main event. It has the perfect balance of giving you just enough information to know what was going to happen next, but the small details were still a surprise. My favourite part is definitely Widgets story. From the very first sentence, "The circus arrives without warning...", I'm just completely pulled into the story, into the circus itself. What a wonderful imagination Erin Morgenstern has. It has everything you could ever want or need in a story, rich complex characters, contained within a lavish environment, playing out a wondrous and mysterious tale.
