You know when you want a certain something really bad and can't have it, so you think about it all the time, and imagine how wonderful it would be to have it and put all your energy and hopes into finding a way to have it, building it up so much that in your mind it is now a thousand times better than reality and when you do finally get it, it is somewhat of a letdown--a deeply depressing discouragement, in fact? That's what this book is about. It is an honest portrayal of the futility of material pursuit.
