I am continuing to reread this series by means of audio book. I really enjoyed Ink Exchange, again. This story takes a completely different and much darker turn from Wicked Lovely. Ink Exchange takes place in the same world, but with a different character focus. I like Leslie's character, a lot. She changes so much during the book and I enjoy her struggle to find strength even in dark places. While she has been through indescribable events, she is not a weak character and is respectable because of that. I also love Irial and Niall, what a great way to round out the story. You still see appearances from all our other favorite players, so the world remains intact and growing.

This story takes a majorly dark turn and Melissa Marr writes it perfectly. Melissa Marr's writing continues to be beautiful even when dark and deadly. The world continues to be magical and mysterious.

Once of my favorite things about this book is the untraditional ending. (view spoiler)

Looking forward to book 3!
