Jungian analysts are not known for being easy reads, and Clarissa Pinkola-Estes is no exception. The good news is that for those who are interested in Jung done from a feminist perspective, no one does it better than this author. Keep in mind that when this book came out in 1992, it was groundbreaking and controversial. Anyone advocating the liberation of more uppity women into the culture was not exactly welcomed by certain segments of the society. I love fairy tales and Jungian archetypes, and have two daughters. Of course I liked this book!
