** spoiler alert ** Shackleton’s Stowaway is about the trek of Perce Blackbrow (Blackie). Perce decides to stowaway on an expedition to cross Antarctica. His life would never be the same after his expedition with Shackleton. He finds himself fighting negative temperatures, almost getting devoured by a killer whale and surviving one of the greatest shipwrecks.
Perce had stowaway onto the ship called Victoria. Shackleton was recruiting men for an expedition to Antarctica. Perce’s friend was welcomed along board. Perce on the other hand wasn’t accepted. Perce decides to stowaway to belong on the amazing expedition. Turns out, the expedition wasn’t so amazing.
Perce had known the dangers to come. He’d read much about Shackletons expeditions, but yet he didn’t know that his entire world would be thrown into chaos. Their ship was god but didn’t quite make it through the ice pack. The ice pack would crush the ship between 2 ice packs. That’s when the chaos began.
His life would never be the same after 2 years of living on Antarctica. All they ate was penguin, seal and bird. They had finally landed on Elephant Island. (They found the island before most of the ice had melted.) After a few months, Shackleton did the impossible he landed on an island in the middle of the ocean. Sailing through the most dangerous seas they made it to the island.
