** spoiler alert ** I really enjoyed the earlier parts of this book where you get to see the ancient world, and it's also nice to read a story of an angry spirit who has to learn to love.

It is not enjoyable that "learning to love" was a silly sex scene that really had no place in the book, and it's eye-roll inducing that everyone this guy runs into immediately lusts after him. I'm not a prude by any stretch of the imagination, but there is no reason to slap something in here that doesn't even feel in-character.

It's also kind of annoying to read through 400 pages of God's greater plan to use love to save the world - and realize that nope, Azriel - you're still stuck on earth. Sucks to be you!
