Don Quixote is a classic story originally written by Miguel Cervantes de Saavedra. Although it's impossible to find the original text, the translation was pretty well, and even if the English used in it is a little outdated, and maybe a little above a typical teenage reader, it still retains it's comical essence. Being one of the few classic comedies in literature, it stands apart from all others. The basic story is that an elderly man has hallucinations that everyday objects and people are monsters, princesses, and knights. (in a time where knights were extinct in Spain.)
Even if the language is a bit archaic and some jokes may have been lost in the translation, I do think it's worth the read.
