City of Whispers, by Marcia Muller, b-plus, Narrated by Laura Hicks, Produced by Audiogo, Downloaded from audible.com.

Sharon McCone gets an e-mail from her emotionally disturbed half-brother, Darcy Black Hawk, indicating that he urgently needs her help. The email is from San Francisco, which is surprising because he has never been there. But he doesn’t leave Sharon any way to get in touch with him, so she puts her whole investigation firm on to the case to find him. While looking for him, they find that he seems to have a connection to an unsolved murder involving an heiress. To solve this mystery, we see Sharon involved with her biological and her adoptive families. I don’t like this book as well because we have too much of Darcy’s voice, and we have Nick’s voice. I really prefer that we see these books through Sharon’s eyes alone. We do have Sharon still recovering from Locked-in Syndrome, alert of mind but flagging in energy at times.
