Read from November 01 to 14, 2011

I finished today November 14, 2011 this remarkable look into Lincoln and as he believed American Slavery. Impressive analysis of Lincoln dealing with an eternal issue - Was Abraham Lincoln a "closet" Abolitionist? And did he believe from the 1850s the need to eradicate slavery from the United States. His political astute mind realized that the South was not going to give up slavery and he further believed they would fight for their right to have slavery. He believed his venture was to complete the unfinished business by the US Constitution.
There is no question he moved America to accept the reality of free, African American Citizens by 1865.
Highly recommend this biography and analysis of American slavery - also it was Lincoln who said this was American slavery.
