Not as light as I usually like my fluff, but I still enjoyed it. This is the third book in a month that I've read about forgeries, paintings, and provenance and I didn't plan it at all.

Jason Cummings, Duke of Rayne, is on the hunt for a wife. He's just not quite prepared for the money hungry mamas and the title hungry debutantes trying to sink their claws into him. Jason is easily distracted from his marital woes by a woman demanding entrance into the masculine bastion of the Historical Society. Winnifred Crane wants her freedom, her inheritance, and recognition for her history papers, but men, specifically her marriage-minded cousin George Bambridge, are standing in her way. When Winnifred journeys to the continent to unearth the origins of a painting, Jason is recruited to provide escort. Little does he know he's in for a lot more than a short jaunt to Dover and a real hair raising adventure.
