really liked it
bookshelves: classics, mystery
Read from October 31 to November 01, 2011

Reading a bunch of short mysteries at once was diverting yet time consuming (636 pages of tiny print). I often could predict the end before completing it, yet Sherlock's methods of proving the hunches was amazing... is there anyone alive who is so attentive to detail and can make as much as this fictional character?

I did go a bit batty at the author's use of "singular" ... must have appeared in every story at least three times. Maybe thesauruses were not available in Sir Conan's time? Maybe it was just apparent to me because it is part of our modern vernacular?

My favorites - Hound of the Baskervilles of course because it is longer than the others and contains multiple mysteries, well... let me think of the others.
