A man is missing along with some device that he created, and Kate and her Cutting Edge Investigations team are hired to find him. But as Kate digs deeper, she finds that there's more to this device than those who hired her have told her, and she discovers that a terrorist group are out to destroy magic and magical beings, threatening a large percentage of men, women, and children living in Atlanta.

Curran and Kate have to unite the Pack's forces with other groups around Atlanta to find the device before it is activeated and destroys them all.

I love the relationship between Curran and Kate. They're not all sweet and sugary. They fight and make up and love each other fiercely, but what makes their relationship work is that they are equals. She can hold her own even though he's stronger, and he wants a woman at his side who can be an alpha of the Pack beside him.
