This book I started reading it when I wasn't reading anything for school and then BAM! I had read all this depressing shat. So it was irksome but a much needed brain break between reading about wage slavery and lynching.
Lionel, I must mention, him and his chiseled jaw did not appeal to me. He is suspicious, sneaky, quick to get angry or frustrated especially at our heroine. One example: HE sneaks up on our heroine, he doesn't give her a greeting call, just walks up to her silently while her back is turned in an empty parking lot after she had just been threatened, repeatedly. And HE gets angry when she re-acts in a proper manner which is to strike out. D-bag. What? Was he going to finally alert her to his presence when he was pressed up against her?
