Katniss Everdeen is a sixteen year old girl who lives in Distict 12. Today is the day of the Reaping where a girl and a boy are chosen to attend to the annual Hunger Games and in the Hunger Games the contestants fight to the death. When Her younger sister Prim is chosen as the tribut Katniss volunteers to save her little sister and enters as tribut for the 74th Hunger Games.

I picked this book up because I wanted to reread this book so that I could compare it better to the movie I'll be seeing on Wednesday. Since I read the whole series before I can say that this book is the best in the series.

I finished this book because there was no doubt that I wouldn't finish it. It's to good not to finish.

I would recommend this book to Grace because she hasn't read the book or the series yet and she's going to watch the movie so I think that she would want to compare the book with the movie too.
