Read from October 02 to 07, 2012

The first book was great, but this one felt forced and artificial. It picks up right where the last book left off. Even though I read the 2nd book twice I still had trouble remembering the slew of characters. I was disappointed at the result of the big escape from the last book. I thought Benson could have fled again many times and his excuses were flimsy. I didn't remember or even understand the new connection he has to Becca.

Is this review confusing? Well, the book sort of is too. It's all over the place. I would get a flash of excitement at the plot and then it would spiral down into sillyness that seemed to be going nowhere. The chill I felt in the first book about the robots/androids changed to who-cares and wtf.

The book ends with a half-hearted GLIMPSE at an explanation behind the school etc and I thought it was preposterous and totally unexpected, but not in a good way. I'm done with this series.
