I did like this book a lot in many ways, but I also found it hard to read in many ways. Martha is a harvard educated woman-working on her Ph.D., pregnant with her second child, and she is having quite a pregnancy. She's very, very sick, taking care of her 18 month old daughter as her husband commutes back and forth to Asia, and trying to do her own school work. She's also having lots of premonitions and many "magical" experiences. I totally believe in magical experiences, but she seemed to have so many of them-I just had a hard time believing all of hers. I loved the parts of the book where she talked about her son, Adam, who is born with Down Syndrome. He seems to be an amazing child-she believes he is an angel, and from what she says about him, I do believe it, too. I would love to meet him! It was an interesting read.
