I don't know as to whether or not I would give this book to a high school student to read. I would use this as more of aa tool to show students how math can be viewed through the lenses of a real-life phenomenon. This book is pretty heavy to read as far as content is concerned but it does give some practical insights into the world of Chaos. In a classroom settng I would pick certain topics that the book talks about and have my students explore the topics.
