This was great -- the Laurens I love is back. A gentleman scholar meets a reserved middle sister Cynster princess and they make the most of their cabin-romance. She has been kidnapped (hello, does anyone not think that the nobleman from Scotland will be marrying Angelica?) but it's a strange kidnapping indeed. Not a harm of her head is to be harmed? Well, Jeremy rises to the occasion and rescues her and their adventure ensues.

Why should you read it? For the most delicious engagement announcement ever. For Laurens examination of how a scientist/scholar approaches love (remember, she's a scientist by training).

Lastly, what's with the Barnaby Casebook #1: will there be more books in that series? I noticed there are two sisters after Angelica. Big sigh of relief the Black Cobra Quartet has ended. Bore*Ing :(
